(Please note our policies, the official mailing list is not to be used for self introduction etc, it is only to be used for announcing events open to all trainees and members and items of general interest to everyone.)

Purpose:

  • All information regarding the event program, the weekly meetings and other 'official' announcements are published here.
  • Every trainee should be subscribed to this list to receive the most important information.
  • You may also post to the list yourself and thus reach all subscribed trainees - but please only send messages that are of general interest and are written in English so everyone can read them. For instance, this is a good place to invite other IAESTE people to your party or trip, but please use Unofficial Mailing List (See below.) for your self-introduction and topics with no relation to IAESTE.

How to subscribe to the mailing list Show e-mail address

  • Send an empty mail with subject [subscribe] (without the brackets) to Show e-mail address.
  • Wait until you receive an e-mail.
  • Select the lines at the bottom of the e-mail, beginning with (including) [//job] and ending with (including) [//eoj] and copy them to the clipboard.
  • Reply to the e-mail that you just received:Delete all text and attachments in the mail body.
  • Insert what you copied into the clipboard (the lines from [//job] to [//eoj]).
  • Send your message.
  • You will receive a short confirmation message.

How to Use:

  • Send an Email:
    • Send your email from a subscribed address to Show e-mail address.
    • You can't send attachments and the email is sent in plain text, links will work though
  • Browse the List Archive:
    • Enter iaeste both as username and as password (will stop spam robots but allow anyone else to read the archive).
  • Unsubscribe:

  • All other information can be posted by subscribers, e.g. jokes, or just about anything else.
  • Information regarding the event program, the weekly meetings and other official announcements are not published here.
  • You can use additional group features by registering your personal Yahoo! profile (of course you can use the e-mail features without a profile). E.g, if you do not want to receive each message individually, you can choose not to receive messages and only read them in the archive when it is convenient or to receive daily digests with all messages from one day put into a single e-mail.
