Join us for the first ever IAESTE International Zurich Weekend! An exciting weekend of culture, fun and IAESTE sprit is waiting for you. Come and experience the unique atmosphere of Zurich and meet many IAESTE friends from all over Europe!

Friday, June 25

Saturday, June 26

 9:00 Conquering Zurich
  Take part in a city rally where you will see the most important and significant points of Zurich.
 16:00 BBQ at Zurich Lakeside
  Enjoy a BBQ  in a park right on the shore of the lake Zurich. You will have the opportunity to take a swim in the lake or simply relax. 
 22:00 Party at StuZ
  This will be the absolute highlight of the weekend!

Sunday, June 27

  7:30  Breakfast
 10:00 Cultural Program / Sightseeing
  Choose from several options what you want to experience 
 15:00 Departure / End of event

Cultural Program / Sightseeing

On Sunday we offer several cultural visits and sigthseeing trips from which you can choose. 

Üetliberg

If the weather is nice, the top of Üetliberg offers you a great view over the city of Zurich, the lake and the broader surrounding. We take a train to go up and will do a short walk. All depends on the weather.

Zoo

Have you ever been to Madagascar? No? Then join us for a trip to the Zoo of Zurich and experience a real rain forest. More inforamtion available on the Website: http://www.zoo.ch/xml_1/internet/en/intro.cfm

Technorama Winterthur

Play! (and learn a bit about science and technology at the Science Museum in Winterthur)

Learn a bit about the history of Switzerland at the Swiss National Museum.

Chillax at the Lakeside

Need a rest? If the weather permits, we will go to the lake to rest from the weekend...  

Participation fees

The participation fee is 75CHF or 55€. 

A surcharge of 30CHF or 20€ will apply for participants who are not affiliated with IAESTE or its partner organisations.

The money will be collected at the start of the weekend at the registration. Only cash is accepted!

Please bring the correct amount of money!

Included in the participation fee

  • Welcome Bag
  • Accommodation for 2 nights in a Bunker (dormitory-style)
  • Snacks & Drinks on Friday
  • Breakfast on Saturday & Sunday
  • Dinner on Saturday (BBQ)
  • 1-Day ZVV Ticket for Saturday

 

 

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your registration
  • less than 24 hours before the start of the event (that is, 4:00 PM, 24th of June), you pay the entire participation fee
  • 24-48 hours before the start of the event, you pay 50% of the participation fee
  • 48-72 hours before the start of the event, you pay 25% of the participation fee

Checklist - Remember to Bring

  • Cash for paying the participation fee (in CHF or €)
  • Cash for Clubbing on Friday evening (CHF - remember Zurich can be expensive!)
  • Cash for Sightseeing / Cultural Program on Sunday (See below)
  • Sleeping Bag for the Accommodation
  • Beach equipment: Swim suit, towel, sun cream, sun glasses, etc.

Accommodation

We will stay in a bunker right in the center of Zurich which offers a convenient facility at a reasonable price. There will be bunk-beds in dormitory style rooms. There is enough space for everyone even if it says you are on the waiting list. We'll try to get everyone in!

How to get there?

By pulic transportation

We strongly advise you to come by public transportation. It's easy to take a train to Zurich from almost everywhere in Switzerland. For information on train connections, check the SBB website. You have to get off at Zurich Hauptbahnhof (= Zurich Main Station) and take tram Nr. 7 from Bahnhofstrasse (Direction Bahnhof Stettbach). Get off at Station Ottikerstrasse and walk a few meters as indicted in the map above.

By Car

We do not advise you to come by car since we cannot offer you a parking place. Since we will stay right in the center of the city, it is difficult to find one and can become very expensive. Further, it limits you to party hard... ;)   

Registration

The maximum number of participants allowed for this event is 100 (including organizers and helpers) and the registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. If your registration is not among the first 100, it will be put on the waiting list.
