Honestly there is no other country that has that many different and good sledding slopes as Switzerland. Therefore it's hard to pick one. Anyways we managed to do so and we will go to Bergün.

Sledding

Program

Sunday January 17

  • Meet at Zurich HB under the Big Clock at 7.20 AM
  • Meet everyone else at Preda train station at 10.30 AM
  • Get the sledges
  • Go and have fun!

Participation fees

To keep it simple the participation fee covers the SBB tickets one way from Zurich HB  to Preda and the seldding day ticket for that region.
We will rent the sleds there (additional cost of 10-15 franks, depending on the type). If you have your own, birng it. 

For those traveling with us from Zurich:

  • With SBB General Abonnement (GA): 20 CHF
  • With SBB half-fare (1/2) and Gleis 7: 45 CHF
  • With SBB half-fare (1/2) but no Gleis 7: 45 CHF
  • Without SBB half-fare (1/2): 75 CHF
For those travelling on their own to Preda
  • With SBB half-fare (1/2): 20 CHF
If your are joining us later than Zurich or you dont want us to organise the SBB Ticket for you (you get about a 10% group discount if you join us from Zurich) then you are responsible for your own ticket to Bergün.
Of course we still buy you the sledding day ticket for the discount price of 20 Franks instead of 25. 

If you do not yet have a SBB half-fare card, we recommend you buying one! Check the SBB website!

The money will be collected at the start of day. Only cash is accepted! :-)

 A huge amount of 5 CHF is surcharged for  guests.

Included in the participation fee

  • SBB train ticket to Preda (one way only)
  • Day Ticket for using the Sledding enviromment in Bergün

Not Included in the participation fee

  • Renting the sledges for one day (10-15 franks)

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your registration
  • less than 12 hours before the start of the event (that is, 7:00 PM, 16. January), you pay the entire participation fee
  • 12-24 hours before the start of the event, you pay 75% of the participation fee
  • 24-48 hours before the start of the event, you pay 50% of the participation fee
  • 48-72 hours before the start of the event, you pay 25% of the participation fee

Checklist - Remember to Bring

  • Cash for paying the participation fee
  • Gloves,, Winter clothes,  warm socks
  • Goggles!! (recommended)
  • A lot of warm feelings so we wont get cold:-P

If you want to you can bring your own lunch, but we will get into a restaurant for lunch time. And if it is only for the reason of warming up. I'll get my food there and a hot chocolate of course. Just make sure your back bag is small!

Meeting point and train connections

  • The main group coming from Zurich meets at the Zurich HB Big Clock at 7:20 AM.
  • All others we either meet on the train or latest at 10:30 AM in Preda!

It is not mandatory to come with the group back to Zurich, the train back is chosen such that G7 can be used a lot but still we'll be back quite soon.

Registration

The maximum number of participants allowed for this event is 20 (including organizers and helpers) and the registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. If your registration is not among the first 20, it will be put on the waiting list.
