IAESTE Rheinfall and Schaffhausen Day
May 23, 2009

Canton Schaffhausen - This is the name of Switzerlands most northern hemisphere. And moreover this is the region of the hugest waterfall in Europe - the Rheinfall.

Width: 150 m Height: 23 m Throughput of Water: 700m³/Second !

This are just a few key data, and it might you try to imagine of the power the water has when flowing down the rocks. But much better then imagination is to experience it by your own. Hence lets explore how it feels when getting wet while just watching at it, let's breath the humid air, let's feel the strength of the water when driving on in with a small boat and let's climb on the rock situated in the heart of the waterfall.

And as if this is not enough excitement for one day we will have a small hike upward the Rhein till we reach the picturesque small town Schaffhausen. We will have a guided tour to the so called Munot, an impressive big fortress that has a history of about 450 years.

And at the end of the day everyone is free to decide whether to stay longer,  have dinner in Schaffhausen and stay there for the nightlife or to point back to enjoy the Saturday night in Zurich or elsewhere.

Excited? Then join us for this One Day event!
