IAESTE LC Lausanne invites you for an easy going weekend on the swiss reviera.

Chateau de Chillon

 

Program

Saturday, July 04

  • Meeting 10:20am at the meeting point of Lausanne train station, near the main entrance.
  • Deposit luggage at the youth hostel
  • Organized city tour of Lausanne
  • Head down by the lake and picnic at the lakeside.
  • Pedal boat / Minigolf / Swimming (If bad weather: Olympic museum)
  • Evening: Fete de la cite

Sunday, August 27

  • Weak up and have breakfast at the youth hostel
  • Train to Montreux
  • Walk to Chateau Chillon by the beautiful promenade of Montreux along the lake, the 'chemin fleuri'
  • Guided visit of the famous Chateau Chillon
  • Walk to Villeneuve + Picnic
  • Bateau from Villeneuve to Lausanne-Ouchy
  • Return at 3:20pm, pick up luggage from the hostel, head home

Participation fees

  • With SBB General Abonnement (GA): 60 CHF
  • With SBB half-fare (1/2) and Gleis 7: 65 CHF
  • With SBB half-fare (1/2) but no Gleis 7: 65 CHF
  • Without SBB half-fare (1/2): 80 CHF

If you do not yet have a SBB half-fare card, we recommend you buying one! Check the SBB website!

A surcharge of 35 CHF will apply for participants who are not affiliated with IAESTE or its partner organisations.

The money will be collected at the start of the weekend . Only cash is accepted! :-)

Included in the participation fee

  • Accomodation for Saturday, breakfast and lunch package on Sunday.
  • Organised city tour of Lausanne.
  • Train ride to Montreux and Boat trip back to Lausanne.
  • Entrance and guided tour for Chateau Chillon.

Not included in the participation fee

  • Train ride from your place to Lausanne and back.
  • Lunch and Dinner for Saturday.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your registration
  • less than 24 hours before the start of the event (that is, 10:20 AM, Friday 3.7.2009), you pay the entire participation fee
  • 24-36 hours before the start of the event, you pay 75% of the participation fee
  • 36-48 hours before the start of the event, you pay 50% of the participation fee
  • 48-72 hours before the start of the event, you pay 25% of the participation fee

Checklist - Remember to Bring

  • Cash for paying the participation fee!
  • Lunch for Saturday.
  • Sleeping bag for hostel.
  • Swimming suit, towel, sun cream.
  • Small bag to carry your lunch, drinks and swimming suit.
  • Your best mood and lots of energy ;-)

  • Meeting point for all participants is Lausanne train station meeting point (close to the main entrance) at 10:20 AM.

Registration

The maximum number of participants allowed for this event is 24 (including organizers and helpers) and the registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. If your registration is not among the first 24, it will be put on the waiting list.
