In between two action packed weekends, LC Lausanne invites you for an easy going weekend on the swiss riviera.

Program

Saturday, July 26

  • Meeting 10:20am at the meeting point of Lausanne train station, near the main entrance.
  • Deposit luggage at the youth hostel.
  • Visit the Olympic museum.
  • Organized city tour of Lausanne.
  • Head down by the lake and barbeque at the lakeside.
  • Open end evening... (clubs nearby)

Sunday, July 27

  • Wake up and have breakfast at the youth hostel.
  • Take boat to Chillon.
  • Guided visit of the very famous Chillon castle.
  • Visit of Montreux, Vevey and the Lavaux region, sunbathe, swim.
  • Return to Lausanne, pickup the luggage from the hostel, and head home.

Participation fees

  • With SBB General Abonnement (GA): 55 CHF
  • With SBB half-fare (1/2) and Gleis 7: 70 CHF
  • With SBB half-fare (1/2) but no Gleis 7: 70 CHF
  • Without SBB half-fare (1/2): 85 CHF

If you do not yet have a SBB half-fare card, we recommend you buying one! Check the SBB website!

A surcharge of 15 CHF will apply for participants who are not affiliated with IAESTE or its partner organisations.

The money will be collected at the start of the weekend . Only cash is accepted! :-)

Included in the participation fee

  • Accomodation for Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
  • Entrance for the Olympic museum in Lausanne.
  • Organized city tour of Lausanne.
  • Barbecue on Saturday evening (dinner).
  • Boat trip to Chillion castle, entrance and guided tour.
  • Train ride from Montreux to Lausanne on Sunday.

Not included in the participation fee

  • Train ride from your place to Lausanne and back.
  • Lunch for Saturday and Sunday.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your registration
  • less than 12 hours before the start of the event (that is, 10:20 AM, Saturday 26.07.2008), you pay the entire participation fee
  • 12-24 hours before the start of the event, you pay 75% of the participation fee
  • 24-48 hours before the start of the event, you pay 50% of the participation fee
  • 48-72 hours before the start of the event, you pay 25% of the participation fee

Checklist - Remember to Bring

  • Cash for paying the participation fee!
  • Lunch for Saturday and Sunday.
  • Student card if you have one!
  • Swimming suit, towel, sun cream.
  • Small bag to carry your lunch and drinks (after depositing the luggage in the hostel).
  • Sleeping bag NOT necessary (so dont bring one)
  • Your best mood and your best smile!

  • Meeting point for all the participants is Lausanne train station meeting point (close to the main entrance) at 10:20 AM.

Registration

The maximum number of participants allowed for this event is 30 (including organizers and helpers) and the registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. If your registration is not among the first 30, it will be put on the waiting list.
