Come and join us for a one evening trip to Bern! IAESTE LC Bern invites you to ice skating! We will go to the ice rink at Ka-We-De and enjoy an evening of ice skating. Who is the fastest? Who will fall down the most? Who can show an amazing pirouette? Who can skate backwards?

Program

Saturday, February 2nd

• Meeting at 8:00 PM Bern main station (main hall below the big screen)
• Bus to Ka-We-De ice rink at 8:19 PM
• 8:30 PM arrival at the ice rink (NOT LATER!)
• Rental of ice skates and ice skating
• 9:45 PM official end of event (you are free to go to party in Bern or to go home and relax…)

Participation fees

• With SBB General Abonnement (GA):  10 CHF
• With SBB half-fare (1/2) and Gleis 7:  10 CHF
• With SBB half-fare (1/2) but no Gleis 7: 10 CHF
• Without SBB half-fare (1/2): 10 CHF

A surcharge of 5 CHF will apply for participants who are not affiliated with IAESTE. The money will be collected at the start of the night. If you bring your own ice skates, you will get a discount.

Only cash is accepted!

If you do not yet have a SBB half-fare card/Gleis7, we recommend you buy one! Check the SBB website!

Included in the participation fee

• Entrance to ice rink
• Rent of ice skates

Not included in the participation fee

• Train to and back to Bern or home destination
• Bus from Bern to Ka We De station
• Food and drink (if necessary)

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your registration

• less than 12 hours before the start of the event (that is, 08:00 AM, Saturday 2nd of February), you pay the entire participation fee
• 12-24 hours before the start of the event, you pay 75% of the participation fee
• 24-48 hours before the start of the event, you pay 50% of the participation fee
• before 48 hours before the start of the event, you pay 25% of the participation fee

• Cash for paying the participation fee (please bring EXACT cash)

• Train ticket
• Lots of energy and your best smile!

Meeting point and train connections

• General meeting point: 8:00 PM Bern main station (main hall below the big screen)

• Unofficial meeting point for people from Bern 8:30 PM before Ka-We-De

IMPORTANT: If you arrive later than 8:30 PM before Ka-We-De, you cannot profit from the group discount and will have to pay the full entrance and ice skates rent by yourself. Thus, DO NOT COME LATE!!!

Registration information:

Registration will open on Thursday 24th of January, 1 pm; and will close on Tuesday 29th of January, 6 pm. Remember that there is no confirmation needed.

Please state your shoe size in the registration.

The number of people already registered for this event is 16. The maximum number of participants allowed for this event is 24 (plus 1 organizers and helpers) and the registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to prioritise IAESTE Switzerland affiliates during the first 48 hours of registration. If your registration is not among the first 24, it will be put on the waiting list.
