Reserved offers
If you have found your employer in a foreign country by yourself, it's a so called reserved offer. In this case, IAESTE can assist you with the visa process. The fee for this service is CHF 200.-
What you have to do:

Students need to register their traineeship with IAESTE Switzerland by filling in the "Reserved Offer" form and paying the CHF 200.- fee to our postal giro account 87-64373-6, reference IAESTE Switzerland, Weinbergstr.41, 8006 Zürich).

The employer has to register with IAESTE in the host country at the same time. The respective contact information will be given to you by IAESTE Switzerland or can be found on the international IAESTE webpage www.iaeste.org ).

After the authorization process, the necessary papers to receive the visa will be sent to you by IAESTE Switzerland.

Important! Students applying for a visa to the US (J1 visa) need to go to the US embassy in Switzerland to pick up their visa there personnally, once they have received the papers organized by IAESTE. Therefore it is necessary to make an appointment in advance as the embassy is usually very busy.
As IAESTE is accountable to the authorities for visa applications handled by our organization, we reserve our right to reject requests concerning visa assistance in certain cases.
