General Information

As the main requirement to participate in the IAESTE Switzerland programme, students need to be enrolled at a Swiss university (including the Federal Institutes of Technology and Institutes of Applied Sciences) when registering with IAESTE. When starting the traineeship students need to have completed at least four semesters.

IAESTE mainly offers traineeships in the technical field and in natural sciences. To apply for one of the joboffers, the student needs to have studied courses in the fields that are required in the job description.

Duration

The duration of IAESTE traineeships is very variable: the traineeships range from 6 weeks to 12 months, with most of the joboffers confined in the summer months.

The employer gives a time slot when the traineeship should take place, i.e. from January 2010 to October 2010 and he also fixes a minimum duration.

Costs

The registration fee is CHF 32.30. The fee for a successful traineeship placement is CHF 400. Please find more information here.
