IAESTE CERN Visit
August 28-29, 2009
CERN is a premier European organisation for Nuclear research and has been in the news last year for its huge particle accelerator LHC (Large Hadron Collider) spanning a circumference of 27 Km and 100m below the ground level.
There are numerous accelarators and experimental areas at CERN's facilities and we shall be visiting the LHCb setup to explore what happened after the Big Bang and how the matter evolved into the universe as we know it today.
We'll be staying in the Geneva Youth hostel for the Friday night and check out the Geneva night scene.
