IAESTE Activity Weekend
April 4-5, 2009

Jura

The Activity Weekend 2009 will take place in the lovely Jura Mountains. The LCs from Basel, Zürich and Lausanne will join in order to plan the activities of the coming year.

Saturday, April 4

  • 10.00 Arrival
  • 10.30-12.30 Presentation / workshop General Conference 2010
  • 12.30 Lunch
  • 14.00 - 16.00 Working groups
  • 16.15 - 18.30 Summer events and activities
  • 19.00 Dinner
  • 20.00 Evening programme (tbd)

Sunday, April 5

  • 8.00 Breakfast
  • 9.00 -11.00 Presentation of Working Groups
  • 12.00 Lunch
  • 13.00 Cleaning of the house
  • 14.00-16.00 Hike to Glovelier (in the case of Blizzard, Hurricane or sandstorm we will stay in Fornet-Dessous with an alternetive program and take the bus at 17.47)
  • 16.22 Train leaves at Glovelier

Place

We'll dwell in a beautiful Place in the swiss highlands of Jura. In the lovely surrounding of hills and forests we've 45 beds in total 6 rooms, and plenty of space to party at night. For the Workshops, some of the sleeping roomswill might be used, however, we hope to place some of the working groups out in the sun.

Costs

The costs of the Activity Weekend are covered by your LC!

Get the ticket on your own, or better, organise yourselves in a group.   

Important: keep the ticket, and hand it over to your financial coordinator at the following LC meeting for reimbursement.

Checklist - Remember to Bring

  • Sleeping bag
  • your Agenda!!
  • Material you need for the preparation of excursions you want to organize during the coming year (brochures etc.)
  • Games (cards etc) for Saturday evening
  • Footballs, volleyballs, frisbees etc.
  • Rain jacket (depending on weather forecast) and shoes that allow 2 hours walking

Important: You'll have to carry your luggage during the hike. So it's better to have backpack than a Migros-bag and don't take too much stuff with you.

Registration

The maximum number of participants allowed for this event is 45 (including organizers and helpers) and the registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. If your registration is not among the first 45, it will be put on the waiting list.
