IAESTE Activity Weekend
Faulensee, April 5-6, 2008

 

What is the Activity Weekend?

The Activity Weekend is the major event for members of IAESTE Switzerland (all Local Committees) or people who want to become members! This year, we will meet in the beautiful village of Faulensee (near Interlaken). There, we will discuss important IAESTE matters and plan the coming 12 month activities. Of course, we'll also get to know each other and have some fun together...

Program

Saturday, April 5

• 10:00: Arrival in Faulensee and accomodation
• 10:30: Games and Breakfast
• 11:00: Presentation from IAESTE National Office
• 11:30: Recap/Summary of Last Year, Introduction, and Formation of Working Groups
• 12:30: Lunch
• 13:30: Working Groups
• 17:30: Presentation of Event Schedule
• Afterwards: Dinner, Party, Ramba Zamba

Sunday, April 6

• 8:00: Wake Up
• 8:30: Morning Surprise
• 9:00: Breakfast
• 10:00: Presentation of New Web Page
• 10:30: Presentation of Working Groups
• 12:30: Lunch
• 13:30: Cleaning
• 14:00: Sunday Afternoon Program

Working Groups

This year we will have the following 7 working groups: Web / IT; Finance; Marketing; Collaboration Workgroup; Global Citizen Conference; Events; Wiki Structure / Survival Booklet. You already may think about which working group to join. You also might already have questions or ideas about these keywords. Participation Fees

There should be no costs for LC members. The local committee will cover all the expenses. Please keep our receipts in case you have any spendings (like train tickets). Your local commitee will only refund your expenses if you have a receipt!

Checklist - Remember to Bring

• sleeping bag
• writing material
• slippers
• bathing suit
• shower sandals, towel, toothbrush, and other toiletries

The computer notebook, beamer, overhead projector will be supplied.

Registration

The maximum number of participants allowed for this event is 40 (including organizers and helpers) and the registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If your registration is not among the first 40, it will be put on the waiting list.
