Have you found a student by yourself that you want to employ as an intern and that is coming from a third state, then the application for a permit has nevertheless to be handed in by an exchange organisation such as IAESTE(4 stay with gainful employment; instructions according to subpoint 4.7.5 Praktikantinnen und Praktikanten).

We will charge you 800 CHF (excl. VAT) for our service.

The fee includes the following services:

examination of all documents and request of missing documents
contact with employer, students, cantonal and federal authorities
survey of the deadlines
the IAESTE trainees can participate in the IAESTE activities that are organized by the Local Committees. This gives the IAESTE trainees the possibility to get to know Swiss students and trainees from all over the world.

IAESTE is not liable for a denial or a delayed approval and will charge the employer 800 CHF even if the authorities do not accept the request or if the student or the employers cancel the agreement. The authorities will charge their fees separately from the employer.

Please keep in mind that there is no legal claim to the approval of a residence and work permit.
