Around 300 delegates from all IAESTE member countries meet once a year in a different place in order to exchange the internship offers and hold the general conference of our organization. Students and university representatives from over 80 countries and 1200 universities around the world come together for this purpose.
In january 2010 (22nd to 29th) IAESTE Switzerland will be hosting the General Conference for the first time again after 30 years. IAESTE Switzerland has been selected in a competition to be the host of the 63rd General Conference at the Technopark in Zurich.
At the General Conference 2010 in Switzerland important steps are taken for the future of international top shots in the field of engineering and sciences:
Through the work of IAESTE, Switzerland gets skilled and internationally well connected young academics in these fields. Technical and science students acquire important experience during their internship abroad with IAESTE.
This promotion of young talents supports the success of Switzerland as a location for technology. In addition the IAESTE exchange program helps to bring forward the understanding for our country within the rest of the world.
Hosting the General Conference is a great opportunity for IAESTE Switzerland and its partners to make a positive appearance within the international environment of IAESTE.
